Hi, I'm Annabel. I created Regain Your Power in 2024 because I know what it's like to need a reason to keep going. I wanted to build that reason into clothing, and grow a community around it.
In high school, I had a difficult relationship with food and my body that over time turned into self-harm and a diagnosis of depression.
In 2019, I made the decision to start therapy. I stuck with it through graduation, when I moved to New York City for college.
Trying to find my place in a new city, I fell into the party lifestyle and leaned on alcohol to feel confident. My eating disorder cameback, and drinking became a daily habit.
In 2021, I was sexually assaulted and was diagnosed with PTSD, DPDR, and severe anxiety. I drank more to numb the panic attacks and distract me from my life at the time. By the end of that year, I felt like I had nothing left and no reason to keep going.
At the start of 2022, I made a New Year's resolution to put my mental and physical health first. I started my fitness journey and noticed mental benefits right away.
Two months later, I cut out alcohol and nicotine completely. It wasn't easy, but slowly I healed my relationship with food, my body, and myself.
The gym became my safe space. Every time I clocked in for a workout, I was rebuilding the strength I thought I'd lost.
I started sharing my story online, hoping it could help someone else feel less alone. Four years later, I have a community of people all over the world doing the same work.
Regain Your Power isn't just my story…
It can be yours too.
Every piece is heavyweight, 100% organic cotton, made to last. My manufacturing partners focus on ethical, eco-friendly practices, from waste reduction to local supply chains. The fabric is pre-shrunk using the Sanfor process, and treated with anti-pilling technology, so it holds up wash after wash.
Sustainable fashion has to be ethical fashion. Every factory I work with:
- Pays a fair, livable wage
- Employs adults who chose their jobs freely
- Follows standard hours with proper breaks
- Provides access to medical care
- No child labor, no exceptions
My apparel is OEKO-TEX® certified, which means every fabric and material is tested for harmful substances at every step.
